What does Florida Lawyer actually do?
It brings matter uploads, document analysis, chat, and editable drafts into one workspace. Ask questions about your case materials, follow available source references, and prepare a working draft for attorney review.
Will it read every page of my case?
Coverage depends on the task and the amount of readable text. Large requests may use selected passages. The app reports coverage and missing or unreadable material. Check that coverage before relying on an answer; extraction completeness is not guaranteed.
Can I choose which document it uses?
Yes. Keep the current matter as context, or use “Focus on specific docs” to narrow a question. Uploaded source documents and generated drafts stay in separate lists.
How does the free trial work?
Eligible new subscribers get seven days after starting a subscription through checkout. A card is required. The selected plan renews automatically unless canceled before the trial ends. There is no ongoing free tier. Checkout shows your eligibility and exact terms.
What can I upload?
PDF, DOCX, TXT, EML, and MSG files, up to 10 MB per file. Readability depends on the file. Review extraction and coverage notices, particularly for scanned or image-heavy documents.
Can I edit and export my work?
Yes. Drafts open in the editor. You can revise text, request AI editing suggestions, review those suggestions, save changes, and export. You remain responsible for the final document.
How are my documents handled?
The application processes uploaded material on its servers and sends relevant content to configured AI providers, including OpenAI and Anthropic. See Security and the draft Privacy Notice for current limits; do not assume zero retention or end-to-end encryption.
What if I forget my password?
Use “Forgot password?” on the sign-in page. Password sign-in accepts your email address or username. Optional authenticator-based two-factor authentication is available for password accounts. Google and Microsoft credentials are managed by those providers.
How do I cancel or change plans?
Open your account in the workspace and use the billing portal. Review any timing, proration, and trial terms there before confirming changes.
Are outputs ready to file?
They are working drafts. A lawyer must check facts, citations, current law, procedural posture, local requirements, and the requested relief before use. A source link or a case-existence check does not establish that an authority supports a proposition.
